This article takes a unique strategy, analyzing migration from a generational perspective. Drawing on a unique information set capturing geographic migration over four consecutive generations of black and white families, the analysis examines intergenerational migration during and after the Great Migration. The change in US publicity to Chinese imports is computed by dividing a hundred times the annualized increase in the worth of US imports over the indicated period by 1991 US market quantity in that business.
